The plane windowless : A brilliant approach of lateral thinking

Among the many ideas that appear throughout the year on our planet, certainly the windowless plane It represents one of the best approaches of lateral thinking that I have known.

The authors? four students of aeronautical engineering polytechnic university of Valencia. At first glance you may think that this is an absurd idea, but the project of these kids reduce CO2 emissions the atmosphere of a considerably.

It is clear that this improvement in aerodynamics the aircraft is not without some against. The psychological factor of flying without seeing the outside can be key. And for that reason, students have thought of everything. In each seat will be a monitor TV which allow you to choose between different views of the real plane, through cameras installed in cockpit, in the wings, in the queue, in the "belly" of the plane ...

The environmental cost of air travel is unsustainable: On a trip Madrid-London, an Airbus A320 consumes 6.000 liters of fuel, produce 15.000 kilos of CO2, like 102.000 cars.

The idea has been selected as one of the five best presented to a global competition organized by Airbus, more than 2.350 participants 82 countries.

Bravo, kids! You worked rejecting stereotypes and assumptions. That's lateral thinking.

    The idea sounds really good, but I doubt how a person can live with fear of flying is (there are many) much they can see outside by cameras (the feeling of being locked up will not you remove the camera).
